A Less Pointless Post

To start, I must apologize for the lack of content in the last post. It really shows how bipolar I've become in the past so many months here in *kof* Fort Gordon *kof*...

Here I sit in uniform, with an unseemly amount of growth on my face -- an abomination if any NCO were to critique my appearance. Well, I cannot claim that I am unhappy. Since I sat down two hours ago in this very spot and seized an Internet connection, I've been through a couple of phases - from "why, oh why am I in this seemingly corrupt military" (that appears to be still following a more in-depth form of the Manifest Destiny), to "I'm really glad I am in the U.S. military... I am exactly where I want to be and I would do anything for anyone else in the Army."

It's all the weird things you hear and all the things you see... how the military is shifting towards a worldwide coverage involving every corner of the globe to how official it all seems. It was from looking at the Wikipedia webpage on the Army that I gained my latest fears. That I'm a part of something so, so evil-- and also from listening to _1984_... I know that the book MUST have been written to throw off people in the Army. I swear, George Orwell must've been enlisted at some point too. I think that a lot about people in film and writing because of all the crazy things you see on a daily basis and the structure that exists within the military.

But it all seems like we're living in the shadows now. Everything amazing has been said and done, and now all that remains is a essences of the past...

- * - * -

So on a less melancholy note lets talk about me! Because I'm sure thats why you're here... for a few updates on my life: )

- Recently finished my schooling

- Heading to Okinawa, Japan here soon!

- Taking leave to visit my family before I go

- I miss them so much. *sigh*

- And there is so much to do before I leave

This seems like all I have to say for now. More later!

Also, Tread.
