Getting Nearer to The End...

Well, here we are. We are here. Here, to be specific, is late-night Saturday/early-morning Sunday. I have about three days left to get all of my affairs here in Montana in order and become ready to let go of all of my physical type of things... I bought a fire-safe the other day (from Office Max) and I put all my old papers and random "My Life Memorabilia" in it. People have told me I was silly for doing so, and maybe I was, but I'll show them! Or not.

So some of you may or may not be confused as to why I'm packing my bags and belongings. I suppose I can go ahead and tell ya. I've made the decision to become a member of the U.S. Army. I'm Army material now for the next four years (starting Thursday, the 22nd of March, 2007). If you have objections, feel free to voice them, I've heard them all. It would be more appreciated to hear, from those of you who are less objectionable, that I have your support. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers whenever possible, it really does help to know that you'll at least give it an effort.

I can't end this blog properly without leaving you with a list (possibly partial) of things I have left to do before I leave:

Fourteen things I should take care of before I leave (on Weds.):

  1. Organize Clothes
  2. Capital One Credit Card payments
  3. File Paperwork
  4. Compile Safe Contents, and move safe to garage
  5. Get a list of addresses in one place
  6. Consider making a mailing list for a newsletter of sorts
  7. Run the loop once more
  8. Study the Three General Orders
  9. Prepare the files on my computer for HDD removal
  10. Separate, inventory, and move all misc. belongings to garage
  11. Get CDs to Mike
  12. Package/bag-up BTDesktop for Logan
  13. Write check for FVCC to cover tuition/school debt
  14. Pack gear for MEPS/Basic
